California investigations allege CAIR misused $7 million meant for Afghan refugees, funneled money to campus protest groups, and built hundreds of nonprofits to influence local governments and promote Islamist objectives. State leaders like in Texas have designated CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, citing efforts to impose Sharia law and undermine American sovereignty.
