Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!
It’s a big day at the Supreme Court, a blockbuster case is on the docket for oral argument this morning, so let’s dive in.
Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, President of U.S. / Trump, President of U.S. v. V.O.S. Selections, Inc. - two cases, consolidated, involving tariffs and Presidential authority. The justices will hear whether the IEEP (International Emergency Economic Powers Act) authorizes the President to impose tariffs, w/out legislative intervention.
This case holds dire importance with regard to international economics and separation of powers.
