These were state-level lawmakers (e.g., members of state assemblies or senates), not federal U.S. politicians like members of Congress.

Why LAWMAKERS Specifically?
I have a feeling, since many are speculating Israel’s involvement in Charlie Kirk’s death, in the coming months these lawmakers are going to be pushing laws specific to Israel.
