On the downside, an initial support is near the USD 61,200 level. The main support is now forming near the USD 60,000 level, below which the price might gain bearish momentum.
Ethereum price started a major increase above the USD 4,200 resistance. ETH rallied 9% and it even spiked above USD 4,400, reaching its new all-time high of USD 4,416 (per Coingecko) and correcting lower soon after. On the upside, an initial resistance is near the USD 4,400 level. The next major resistance is near USD 4,440, above which the price could accelerate higher towards the USD 4,550 level.

According to the joint statement, crypto miners have taken a keen interest in the Nordic region because of the access to renewable energy in the region. It added that this is not in Swedenβs interest, because the country βneeds the renewable energy targeted by crypto-asset producers for the climate transition,β as well as for its ability to meet the Paris Climate Accords goals.
βEnergy-intensive mining of crypto-assets should therefore be prohibited,β the statement went on to say, while also describing the βsocial benefitβ of digital assets as βquestionable.β

In an abrupt U-turn on an earlier stance adopted by the countryβs authorities, the Argentinian government has released a decree that imposes a tax on credits and debts on transactions involving cryptoassets. The regulation was published on November 17, and the measures entered into force on the same day.
βThe exemptions provided for in this decree and in other regulations of a similar nature will not be applicable in those cases in which the movements of funds are linked to the purchase, sale, exchange, intermediation and/or any other operation on cryptoassets, cryptocurrencies, digital coins, or similar instruments, in the terms defined by the applicable regulations," the Argentinian cabinet said in the decree, as reported by local paper Buenos Aires Times.
Crypto transactions were previously exempt from the levy which, under Argentinian law, is called the tax on credits and debits in bank accounts and other transactions. Such transactions were treated as if they were cash transfers, according to SebastiΓ‘n DomΓnguez from local tax consultancy SDC Asesores Tributarios.
The tax is levied at rates of up to 0.6%.
The latest development imposes yet another levy on Argentinian crypto users. In 2017, a reform of the countryβs tax code extended the income tax to capital gains earned from transactions that involve cryptoassets.
Earlier this month, it was reported that a number of companies were eyeing Latin America β and countries like Argentina and Paraguay in particular β amid their search to create new bases for bitcoin (BTC) and altcoin mining operations.
Data released by the University of Cambridge indicates that Argentina accounted for just 0.05% of the global bitcoin hashrate last August. It is yet to be seen whether the governmentβs revised tax policy will have a negative impact on the countryβs appeal to crypto industry players.

Cryptocurrencies appear to be far from ready for business-to-business (B2B) commerce so far due to factors like lack of convenience, a new survey suggests.
According to a joint survey by payment-related startups Invoiced and PaymentsNEXT, 59% of B2B respondents are not open to the idea of accepting cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
Released on Thursday, the survey found that only 2% of respondents adopted crypto payments so far, while 39% of those indicated any level of intention to accept cryptocurrency in the future. The study is based on online survey responses from 269 finance professionals from August 2021.
According to the surveyβs findings, B2B companies apparently prefer check payments to other payment methods like debit cards, with 77% of respondents indicating to accept checks as a means of payment. Virtual cards and cryptocurrency payments are way down the popularity list, with only 14% and 4% of respondents accepting them as payment so far, respectively.
According to the report, the alleged lack of convenience is one of the biggest impediments for B2B firms to adopt crypto payments, as 30% of respondents indicated that convenience is a key decision factor when considering this payment option. 26% of respondents also indicated that they need cryptocurrency payments to βappreciate in value for the business.β Other reasons included issues related to transaction fees, customer demand and demonstrating innovation.
While the majority of B2B firms are apparently not yet ready to adopt crypto payments, such companies reportedly face a significant demand for virtual card and cross-border payments, with 64% and 62% of respondents exploring or adopting these areas, respectively.
