Someone just shot up the White House Correspondents' dinner that Trump and several other prominent officials were attending. The suspect has reportedly been killed at the scene, and we will likely see a multi-hour/day game of patty-cake as officials hedge on releasing the identity. But really we don't even need verified proof; it was clearly and obviously a leftist, just like the last 7 prominent attempted/successful political assassinations targeting right-wing or conservative officials and public figures. The Trump administration will once again take this dry powder for a wider scale political crackdown on the fermenting revolutionary communist front in this country and immediately dump water all over it, either by doing nothing or engaging in the single most targeted lawfare you have ever seen, patting themselves on the back for "following the law" and "being fair".
