SWIFT JUSTICE: Attorney General Ryan Pinder revealed during his budget contribution in the Senate today government’s plan to construct a new Supreme Court on Shirley Street.
The AG says the new facility will include 8 civil courts, 8 criminal courts and 4 hearing rooms.
The present Supreme Court will be utilized as for sexual offense cases and will house a juvenile court.
Senator Pinder is hopeful that the additional courts will aid in addressing the challenges within the judiciary; including reducing the backlog of cases.
