As of Wednesday, 22 June, 2022, South Africans:
- no longer need to wear face masks.
- there are no more limits on gatherings
- no more border checks for Covid-19
- no need to be vaccinated to enter South Africa
All these have been dropped!
Health minister Joe Phaahla quietly repealed the regulations by notice in the Government Gazette, ahead of a planned press conference on Thursday.
It's a battle that has been won, BUT the war continues with the fight against the NHA amendments!
