CARNI🐊ART Channel pinned Β«....SO IT'S WAY TOO FAR 'OVER HALF WAY' into the month for the official post of this BUT Here's some Theme-Options for art/fiction/celebration (for the rest of what's left of) this month! β€’Hypno'vember Probs what I'll lean into this year for the Sketch …»
The oldest blast from the past that exists from my repertoire possibly. (rivalled only by some really basic cartoony-dinos perhaps)

Dink (the.... alien something something)

Left is a more modern redraw of them from 2011, the right image is a close approximation of what they originally looked like when I drew them at age.... (something single-digits.. and on the lower end of that I believe)
Dink is an alien on the 'shapes' planet.
But was welcomed with open-arms by two whom quickly became his friends, Squeek and Ponky, and loves them dearly for it.

They think about home lot though, and is always the 'odd one out' by virtue of being not only different; but very shy with most other people other than Squeek and Ponky.
(They was always quietly my favourite out of the three.. probably out of a sense of wanting to protect the shyer, more introverted and demure bean)

Initially created when I was.. hrrm in Primary school perhaps? (or prior maybe?) these three Squeek, Ponky & Dink were the main (and most times only) characters in little comic I used to draw and staple together.

Their names written in bold on the front typically were the titles of said comics (with little sub-headings to give flavour to the adventure ahead.)

Looking back at, I cannot fathom where I pulled Dinks base design from.
-They walks about up on those two big feetie-arm things. (he is in the equivalent of of whatever might be a 'sitting' pose in the re-draw)

I have sketch-its about somewhere of their re-imagining + the planet designs they reside in, as well as one of the original comics still somewhere in a box possibly .. might have to dig through that to see if I can't find and snap that!

I think if I was ever to utilize these characters now, I think it would be for a children's book.
And would very on purposely not have gender ascribed to any of the character in that either :)

(I think initially, as a child, I had used male pronouns for them, but relish the idea of dropping that in favour of teaching good habits that the binary isn't a requirement!)
Ohhhhh FOUND IT! X'3

So here it is; My earliest unpublished comic (that I still have in my possession)

Complete with spelling and visual mistakes, 0 respect for bleed-margins, terrible dialogue/speech-bubbling space allowance & 'order of read', an oddly ok sense of pacing, plot direction, expression depiction and conflict/story moral at the age of '5 or under', and BIG THICK TEXTERs love!

I indeed one day hope to revitalise this into something of interesting use one day!

The idea that characters & a story born of my own mind as a child might one day becomes a children's' book is appealing πŸ’•
(the character would always 'farewell' the readers at the end of every comic I made with them in it)
