Next we have a Kanga' Momma and her little Joey; Cassie and Bounce

These two were first drawn in the left image as a excited homage towards Australia's first-ever Fur'Con; MidfurX Set for debut back in 2008!

In fact, the convention staff liked the gift-drawing so much that they asked for it to feature as their Convention-book Cover back at the time :)
(needless to say, I was flattered out of my mind, and very happy for that! .....sorry I was as 'merry' as I was on the phone that time you called up about getting a nicer-resolution File of that which I didn't have available Kraden! 😅)

The design on the right was going to be my submission to the T-shirt design comp the event held; but due to very slow technological issues (..my computer at the time could just NOT handle the Master file as large as it was required) I missed the deadline by a margin of a few hours .. yes hours and the entries closed before I could submit it properly.

But with that otherwise fully ready to go just after; decided to [cont]

take-pre-orders for that online, get those printed locally myself and add a small amount extra for convention stock on top for selling from the table once there.

(Which worked wonders infact, with very encouraging feedback from buyers!)

The names for the two character actually followed the conclusion of the event by way of taking name-submissions from the attendees during the event with the promise of a tee and print-pack as a prize for supplying the winning names! 🦘💕

(even recall sitting at a crowded breakfast table with other con-goers and mulling over all the entries!)

..It was the most adorable surprise how tight-lipped the person sitting next to me on one side became as I closed down on the final two I was torn between, only to end up choosing his submission! ^_^

The two went on to become characters for interacting with the event in following years, and also across another convention tee-design in '09 also!

Next Up is Kip
(for short.)

*His full name is very hard to pronounce with given Earth-based vocalisation (& he does not like being call that anyways. All the better if others just don't know it)

Though Kip resembles some form of mammalian 'something'; he is, in fact, and Alien from quite a distance away.

He's has undergone some fairly significant (& painful) surgical modification (most in removing thicker, almost carapace-like, flat-plating from himself entirely, received head-hair implanting and a mild amount of marking grafting (to aid in hiding his plate-removal locations) just so that he indeed might fit in more discretely with society found on Earth (a Human and Anthropomorphic mix in his case)

His own race is typically a diligent and scientifically forward creed with 3 planets across 2 solar-systems + Star-Bases in each colonized.

Kip however, might very well be the sole and only exception to his races natural inclination; any would much rather be left alone to life as a recluse.

He would much rather simply enjoy life out interacting with creative fiction (..something his race on the whole sees less value in favouring instead of more productive and species/Science furthering pursuits)

So it was to his delight and fascination, whilst idling through the education systems, to learn of a very distant planet of whom it's occupants were a lot less obsessed with improving itself entirely and only, but instead embraced frivolous creativity and .. And! ONE COULD EVEN live their entire life ordering all they might need to their door without ever have to interact with others at all!

His family were delighted in turn when his enthusiasm for Space-flight and exploration took root with a fervour they had never witnessed of him prior!

Little did they know that he had made a one-way choice in his heart to get as skilled as he would need in order to jettison himself un-traceably Earth-bound in order to live his hikikomori dream-life.
