Todays Character(s) Highlight will be touching on a fairly solid cornerstone that pop up in a bunch of my work throughout time: Anthro Fruit

I think the very first 'fuller body' versions of this concept was the left-most one here in artwork produced in 2007 titled 'Fruit Holidays'
(The right is another twin-sisters pair; my 'Sweet' and 'Sour' Strawberry chikkies)

The original idea sparked from a recognition that 'Anthro' need not only apply to animals, but can ascribe 'human-like' traits to anything non-human; Fruit for example

..And all the fun design and motifs that can come with fruit-inspired characters!

....because whom doesn't want to get kissed by a cute Water-Melon at some stage in their life??

In a lot of artwork they would exist more as 'toony fruit with faces' sometimes with limbs of extremities, rather than being more humanoid-silhouetted figures

..But other times they would get fuller-forms!

-The 'My little Fruities' piece was born of wanting to draw pony fan-art when first getting into that, but having no dedicated Pony-character myself (so pon-i-fied up the main Fruit-cast❤️)

And very recently (by the generosity of a great friend of mine, Mew Fanatic) has been breathing new affection and life into some of the ol' Anthro-fruits via allowing me to include some of mine and Deezmo's (Pine-Berry Todd) fruit-chars her own ADORABLE and newly-created straw-berry toddler-char, Shortcake!! 🍓🍰💕
