Big Changes to Illustration Gig

Switched most things over to this now, and it'll be a much easier centralised location to keep track of work-related correspondence!

• Commissions Closed for taking new Orders (for the first time in years) This is needed to clear the current List fully back to 0.

*But fret-not!
-Will still catch the odd In-Stream Scribble-Com Stream over on Picarto & may host the odd YCH Auction through that too in before that is re-opened official again :)

• Switching up a lot of how I am likely going to run it all behind the scene
(which means good things for the front-end, not just a price-hike, don't worry!)

Things like:
-Accessibility for customers, old and new will increase

-Queue and turn-around times I hope to keep down a lot more than they have been prior

-More special-offers and Events highlights more often

-Increased personal project time (towards more fun things available, like Postcard packs, a Perpetual Calendar, Apparel and other 'my art on stuff' Items, and finally.. MEBBE FINALLY that yearly Calendar I have been wanting to take up again since 2013!

• One of the ceilings I'd hit prior was the limited amount of man-power I have to accommodate what it takes to grow what I do larger.
(Being a one-person outfit means I can only reasonably stretch so far and do so much)

But that might be changing in the (hopefully) near future!
Have a few close-friends helping out right now, but would like to extend that to paid-admin work by the end of the year if I can! ♥️

=This Year has indeed been Rough=

It largely has had it's ups and downs for me personally. (as I'm sure everyone is feeling. or worse)

Whilst on one hand my self-employed Illustration job doesn't really change all that much, working from home already, its been pretty killer in not being able to see friends in person.
Not to mention convention attending is gone & a large part of everything outdoors at all
(with Melbourne Australia experiencing some pretty pretty harsh lock-down)

& for good reason of course with a world-wide Pandemic this serious (which is more than understandable.)

There is, however, a silver-lining in what the switch-up in dynamic has presented as far as a breather from the cycle of; Convention prep > convention attending > convention wind-down > then back into Con-prep again.

And a sorely needed overhaul to the Illustration Gigs business-end has been in order for a rather long time.

There has even been some happily accidental opportunities that have presented themselves in being able to better run it all and have that be more profitable with less time having to be put in also.

(And I'm almost certain that with so many being stuck at home with only digital means of entertainment more at their disposal, there has been a bit of a boom for streamers & smaller-time freelancers all over also too)

Looking ahead and aiming to put in preparation-work in order to re-launch revitalised and both-feet forward into 2021 and beyond! ❤️
