Here is the text of my response to the New Mexico Supreme Court Disciplinary Board. I try to make things short and sweet.

"Greetings:


My name is David K. Clements. Bar Number [redacted].


Pursuant to the letter received August 17, 2021 from the Disciplinary Board, I tender this response. I'm also in possession of an information update and professional liability form. I hold an exempted position as a law professor, and bar records accurately reflect my status.


The nature of the allegations from [redacted] are that I am promoting "sedition and treason."

You will find it is an evidence based presentation, protected under the First Amendment, legal privilege, and after being viewed will demonstrate the absurdity of the complaint filed.


Moreover, the claim of "sedition and treason" against the United States would fall under military jurisdiction. To my knowledge, the state bar of New Mexico is not an appropriate venue to resolve this complaint.


I'm aware of the professional rules of responsibility, have maintained good standing with the bar for over a decade, have been recognized as a prosecutor of the year with the District Attorney's Association, and was just honored yesterday with the Patricia Christmore Teaching Excellence Award by New Mexico State University. I believe that you will see that all claims made in my presentation promote the rule of law, as well as a love for the ideals that make our country great.


Since the nature of the complaint focuses squarely on treason and sedition, I will say only this. Truth is treason in an empire of lies.
