Hey folks, yesterday I lost one of my Marine Brothers. We still do not know the cause of death but he leaves behind a long term girlfriend and the mother of his two children. Richie lost both of his legs in 2010 when he stepped on an IED in Miss Qala AFG. It was one of the longest, worst days of my life.

My Marine brother has gone to be with his God. Richie Chavis was a double amp who lost both of his legs in 2010. I’ll never forget that day and night as long as I live.

His family of 3 is devastated. We, as a platoon, came together to raise funds for his wife and two kids. They are currently $1200 short of the cost of his funeral.

The VA will reimburse them but we are hoping to raise enough to cover it and then let them put the reimbursed funds into a trust for his two children.

I donated $500 myself. I’ll never ask someone to donate to something I won’t donate to myself.


If you can, please help this family that sacrificed everything for this country!
