"Just got back from downtown Ottawa. Police are shutting down access to the downtown. On and off ramps are blocked.

The police seem very demoralized and not happy to be the pawns of a trust-fund elitist.

Seems like they’re going to try to control access for the weekend. Which will fail. There’s a massive frozen canal that runs through Ottawa. Anyone willing to walk a bit will have no problems.

There is zero incentive for the cops to not crack down on you. They're not looking at you as freedom protesters, they're looking at you as temperamental children. They know that the worst you are going to do is make your arrest a little more difficult.

If they thought there would be any consequences at all to assaulting and kidnapping you, they'd be far more hesitant. As it stands now, they'll walk right into your house (and they will) and slap the cuffs on you for supporting the truckers. Expect a January 6th style roundup of dissidents, only probably much bigger.
