“Lord, call us to battle, that we may proclaim you King of Kings and Lord of Lords!” —Miss Clara from the movie War Room
Download Telegram
This second video may sound familiar to some of you. It is the powerful testimony of Major Jeff Stroeker at Liberty University. (Full video link below)

He shares his riveting testimony of bravery, in one of the most gruesome firefights in military history. The battle was best known in the book Black Hawk Down, and later a movie.

If you have never heard of his testimony I would encourage you to watch the full video.

All I can say is…AMAZING.

He knew his life was in God’s hand. He had made up his mind to fully trust God in the midst of a horrendous battle, and God delivered him.

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—”
II Corinthians 4:8-9

Testimony Tuesday

Praying for something or someone for a very long time? Perhaps it is for a loved one needing salvation. Or perhaps you’re needing a personal breakthrough with an issue you have been struggling with for many years.

Whatever the prayer request, you’re still waiting for an answer and before you know it disappointment and frustration can slowly eat away at your faith sometimes, especially when there is no glimmer or hint of an answer on the horizon.

It’s easy to get discouraged. You begin to think; Maybe this isn’t going to happen.

Trust me, I have felt this way many times myself in the past.

You become weary.
Doubt creeps in.
Your countenance is being leveled to a point of believing God has simply forgotten you.

Then we pause and humble ourselves before God and realize how powerless we are.
So we empty ourselves before Him with reverence, and begin to thank Him. That’s right.
We give thanks in the situation.

This pleases God.

The atmosphere begins to shift. Your attitude changes.

You begin to praise Him.

Believe it or not, this is faith in action.
And I’ll say it again…this pleases God!

Moving forward, your prayers begin to change…

“God, I don’t know how this is all going to work out, or know why but I do know this; I trust You even when it seems like there is nothing happening and yet I will give thanks because You are still worthy.”

This is trusting in the Lord when everything is still hidden…again, faith in action.
This is complete surrender to the Lord.
You begin to posture yourself in a place of that complete surrender.
Praise and thanksgiving.
This is His will for you.

You willfully choose to abide in Him no matter the outcome.

You willfully choose to wait on the Lord with confidence.

Hebrews 10:36 says,

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:”

What is the will of God you ask?

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,”
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
I Thessalonians 5:16-18

This pleases God.

In today’s video testimony we are reminded to give the Lord praise and thanksgiving while waiting.

Testimony Tuesday

Sometimes when I am preparing for the next testimony I’ll come across a subject that truly speaks to my heart in a way I’ve never considered before.

There have been times I felt frustrated with God because I feel like He’s not seeing what is going on or hearing my prayers.

If we’re honest with ourselves, I think we are all guilty of praying based on how we feel rather than what we know, especially if we have been praying for something for a very long time.

Frustration begins to surface.
Hope begins to fade.
Perhaps fear sets in.

But what if we changed our perspective about how we pray?
And more importantly our attitude of our prayers. In other words how we posture those prayers…from fear to acknowledging who God is.

This is what I know…
God can handle our frustration.
I know that He hears me, even when it seems like He doesn’t.
He knows the end from the beginning.
And, He sees everything.
He is still good.

Also, remember that ol’ devil wants us to place feelings over facts, and fear over faith.

We just need to flip those tables upside down, and do the opposite.

Today’s video gave me a new perspective in how I pray going forward.

I pray this blessed you like it did for me.

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
Psalms 136:1

I wanted to share Deb Mor's response to today's Testimony Tuesday with her permission. I felt it you all needed to see how God responded to her. Absolutely a beautiful testimony. Thank you Deb.

Also, I encourage anyone else to feel free to share their personal testimony as it relates to our post today...or any other Testimony Tuesday post for that matter. Thank you friends!👇

This Christmas was set up to be the worst Christmas yet. I had promised myself that it would be better than last Christmas yet I stood at the kitchen sink thinking I was set up! Not only had I been praying for years for reconciliation and to have a relationship with my grandchildren but now my dog had died just a few days before. As I was standing there the Holy Spirit spoke to me… why won’t you let me comfort you? And like the video- I was honest- I don’t trust you anymore! His response- why? So I started to go through all the times He hadn’t seen me, heard me…. He said - make a list of my faithfulness to you. So sat down with pen and paper to write my list. I looked at my phone and there were 2 videos from a friend 1 was a beautiful worship song and the other a review of a sermon on why God doesn’t answer prayers. Last Christmas was the VERY BEST Christmas ever! I was able to take my guard down and let God minister to me. I became lighter from the weight being removed and my face, though I was unaware previously, stopped hurting. I definitely have a renewed relationship with the Trinity.

Thank you Paula, you always point us to Christ!
