“Lord, call us to battle, that we may proclaim you King of Kings and Lord of Lords!” —Miss Clara from the movie War Room

Part 2 of 3

I did a study on the book of Daniel and was fascinated by how much he trusted His God. My impression of Daniel was that he never came across as self-minded. He always put others before himself in the midst of tyranny.

He was community minded in service and excellence. He was courageous and at the same time did not compromise his beliefs.

Daniel had every excuse to stand up against the “machine of tyranny” but his character and response to his God would be the turning point and he would bring great value to his sphere of influence.

When we see injustices upon Christians in our government, schools and business, etc., we shouldn’t be surprised at all. Jesus warned this would happen. What should our response be though? Do I believe we should stand up and stand strong and not compromise? Absolutely!

Sometimes I think the church is more into protecting and conserving the institution of Christianity, than focusing on advancing God’s kingdom through community by blessing and making disciples.

Daniel is a prime example and model of what I believe in bringing value and being part of the solution. He never sought out what was in it for himself, or how he could stay all comfy and prepared with himself in mind. He knew in his heart that he was not called to ignore the needs of the city out of resentment. God did not send Daniel to complain and critique Babylon. He called Daniel to make a difference.

God calls His people not to separate themselves in their self righteousness but to stay put and seek the welfare of their city.

Imagine what a game changer this would be for the community!
Part 3 of 3

As we gather our supplies don’t forget how your realm of influence can be on those who have no idea of what God’s grace is all about. Hopefully they are about to find out.

Daniel desired the Grace of God upon the nation, not the disgrace of sin. He sought the king’s prosperity without judgment because he wanted the king to walk in the wholeness of God and to know His God.

Daniel operated out of love, interceding for the current environment he found himself in. Wow! What an example!

“And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.””
Jeremiah 29:7 NLT

Daniel obeyed this command. He stood firm in His convictions and did not complain. He knew his God given purpose. He made lemonade out of lemons as they say!

In the next several weeks there is going to be a turning point and great test for all of us. You my friends will shine the most when the worst stuff is happening because God’s people will always find His way to provide His welfare for His children.

When we have God’s heart toward individuals and God’s mind toward ideas, we have a responsibility to be God’s mouth in our surrounding culture.

Blessings! 🙏🏻❤️

Today is Testimony Tuesday. Last week I was feeling under the weather and forgot to post. Today I resume.

I want to encourage you to post a story or encounter. I love hearing how God moves in His people. It can be about anything. Perhaps you were on the receiving end of a blessing. These kind of stories always leaves me with a sense of joy in my heart. It brings hope to all of us.
I would love to hear your testimonies. So, please share!

Below is another encounter I had with a stranger. God has called me to give away money sometimes. Other times it’s just a word of encouragement, or the person needs assistance. It doesn’t matter if you have a wad of cash or not, God can still use you to reach out on His behalf.

It ain’t heavy, it’s Cat Food
Friday December 22, 2017

One afternoon I ran a quick errand to the pet store to pick up a bag of cat food. With just a few days before Christmas I didn’t want to be caught without food for Miss Tina Binx on Christmas Day.

As I strolled into the pet store, I made a bee line to the cat food section. I happened to notice the cashier, a young woman at the counter. She said hello to me and I responded back. She politely asked me if there was anything I was looking for and I said yes, and told her what I needed but told her I know exactly where it was. I noticed right away her face had multiple piercings, eyebrows, lips and nose. The works. ‘She is just a kid’ I thought. When I went down the isle of the dry cat food section, I felt God tap me on the shoulder and said “That one” I knew He meant the young girl with the piercings all over her face.
Part 2 of 3
Sometimes my heart starts to pound, and I get a little nervous and start doubting, and I question my own thoughts, not realizing it is God whispering gently in my thoughts. “Did I really hear you Lord?” “Are you sure?” Why do I doubt?
I picked up the bag of cat food and flopped it on the counter in front of her, she rang me up. In my mind I am thinking how and what do I say to her. She offered to carry out the bag of cat food to my car. I’m a little nervous at first, and my knee jerk response was “Oh, thanks but I can handle it”. Doh! I should have said “Sure that would be great, thank you very much”.
She picked up the bag anyway and carried it out to my car. I thanked her for doing that.
I proceeded to the back of my car and opened the trunk. As she loaded the items in the trunk I got an impression from the Holy Spirit to give her one of my God Pockets. I had one with me stuffed with cash in it. I placed my purse down in the trunk, as I reached inside my purse I said to her, “I have something for you”.
She immediately gestured waving her hands as if to wave me off and refused and said “You don’t have to do that”.

I assumed she thought I was tipping her for carrying my purchases and loading them into my car.
“This is not a tip”! I said. As I handed it to her, “God impressed upon me to give you His gift because He has a heart for you”!
I told her, “God cares about you and what you are going through, and He is pursuing you right now.” She immediately started to cry, her face and eyes reddened. I explained to her that I’m learning how to hear God’s voice, and He gave me an impression about you while I was in the store. “He has a heart for you”! She was in disbelief. Her reaction was precious. I could tangibly feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. She gave me a firm hug and thanked me as she wiped away the heavy tears. I embraced her likewise. We wished each other a Merry Christmas. She went back into the store. I sat it my car for a moment and said “Thank you Jesus!”
Part 3 of 3
God whispered to me. I looked beyond all the facial piercings and obeyed. I pressed pass the fear. I planted His seed. I prayed for her the remainder of the day. I was blessed beyond comprehension. I praised God for His goodness and to witness His spirit touch this young woman’s life. I asked God to watch over her and continue taking care of her.

I am learning that we need to prepare our hearts and mind to pursue the culture of God’s heart toward another person no matter where we are.

The goal is and always should be love. We first show love and value for that person. When you enter a public place like a grocery store or pet shop or anywhere for that matter ask God to show you who needs His touch today.

We pay tribute to God and honor Him by paying attention. When God recognizes an obedient heart He will lead you to that person who needs His touch. It’s not complicated. Press pass your fear. I promise you will be blessed!

Paula has incredible vision.

I’m going to share a video that I made that was her vision for what we’re about to face tomorrow.

Hold the line Patriots.

Gods got this.
Good Sunday morning!

I started reading this book last night.

I’ve read a few books of Pastor Mark Batterson. The Circle Maker, Chase The Lion, In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day.
Highly recommend all of them.
Next on my list: Wild Goose Chase

The Red Sea moment is coming.

There is no way to win, no way over our obstacles, until there is.

It is supposed to be this way if you believe everything is about God. If all that there is is under his purview, his authority.

Because if we were the ones that could make the way, we would not need God. He uses our action steps and our faith and then acts. It may not be today, tomorrow, or in ten years. But God.

FROG = Full Reliance On God
I came across this video of a townhall meeting of frontline healthcare workers, mostly nurses, and one IT guy.

They share what their work environment is like under the shadow of Covid, and vaccine mandates. It is very eye opening. They bring up some compelling points, they share their frustrations, and most of all the truth of what is really going on in the hospitals.
This is Part 1 of 2 videos.
Please feel free to share this video. https://youtu.be/UYJqWl2Mr9Q
Good morning faithful warriors

How is everybody doing lately?

Are you tired?
Are you tired of seeing evil people getting away with stuff?
Are you tired of feeling like not enough is happening?

I don’t know about you but sometimes I feel like I get so weary asking God the same thing over and over again and not seeing any results. Especially when it comes to expectations on current events.

I know faith is a huge part, but darn, I feel like my prayers hit the ceiling and fall on deaf hears.

I’ve been praying for my family for years, and I sometimes wonder if I will ever see the fruit of my prayers.
Does anybody else feel that way?

I felt God tell me one morning this week. “You need to take a break from the noise”.

Everyday, someone sends me a video to watch on current events. I haven’t even got to them all and some I’ve seen already. It’s overwhelming sometimes.

Then I find myself just tired of it all. So, I retreat and get back to the things I used to love to do. Lately, God has been speaking to me and asking me to BE STILL.

I must admit, it’s hard sometimes. I guess I’m just wondering if anybody else feels this way sometimes. I know and believe God sees everything, and justice will be dished out eventually.
I can’t help but think of Moses when his arms had to be held up by Aaron because if he didn’t they would lose the battle.

So, don’t forget to hold each other up. All of us have some kind of challenge going on.
I still believe God knows and sees everything, and nothing can happen to us without it being filtered through His loving capable hands first. Amen!

Well, I thought I would just be vulnerable today. I haven’t lost my faith. I know God will use my weakness to show His great power.

Here’s to all of you who may also be struggling. Let’s be reminded, though God sees us and delights in hearing our prayers I know he hasn’t forgotten us. We lift each other up. One day very soon we will all see Him.
Stay in faith, for God is still good…all the time!
—Blessings my friends!
