U.S. forces - not merely logistical and military support - would be deployed to defend Taiwan if there was an attack launched by China, 'BBB' said - sparking a furious response from Beijing.

In his CBS interview broadcast Sunday, Bumbling Basement Biden claimed “We are not moving, we are not encouraging their being independent ... that's their decision.” But his pledge to act sent “seriously wrong signals,” according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spox Mao Ning.

Washington’s “strategic ambiguity” means officially it does not recognize Taiwan’s independence or have diplomatic relations with Taipei, despite numerous visits in recent months from elected officials ignoring Beijing’s warnings.
