He first laughs at Trumps past endorsement, but then he says something very telling..

“One of the reasons he got to know me is because I saw this Russia collusion thing as a farce… very few people said that and about a handful of us in congress that were fighting back against that.. so I would go on TV and I would defend him when it wasn’t popular and when it was kind of politically risky, but I thought it was the right thing to do.”

So, let me get this straight….. as a low level nobody congressmen he was willing to defend Trump on a much more serious matter (Russia Collusion), but now as Governor, with the Stormy Daniels circus, he says “we’re not and won’t be involved in that”, but says with vitriol, “I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some kind of an affair.”

This truly says a lot about his character….

SB 1616 allows Florida’s Governor, the governor’s close family, visiting governors, and others state officials to be exempt from disclosing their travel records.

Currently, Florida has several “sunshine laws” which permit the general public to request travel logs of state officials.
The new bill attempts to amend state statute 943.68, that requires records of the Governor’s transportation and protective services to be disclosed to the public.

“The bill would impose the first-ever public records exemption for the transportation records held by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the agency that handles the governor’s security.

The exemption would take effect retroactively, prohibiting anyone from scrutinizing how DeSantis has used his state travel in the past and as he prepares for a likely campaign for the Republican nomination for president.”

In his recent interview with Piers Morgan, Ron denies the reports that he authorized the use of force feeding of detainees during his time at Guantanamo Bay, which he was a Legal Adviser.

Lookie lookie what I dug up…. In a 2018 CBS interview with Jim Defede, DeSantis recounted moments when a commanding officer would ask a legal adviser (like himself) how they could “combat” hunger strikes by detainees.

“One of the jobs as a legal adviser is like hey, you actually can force feed, here’s what you can do. Here’s kinda the rules on that.”
