You can choose to see this one of two ways…

1. Trump made massive mistakes in his SCOTUS appointments and he’s paying the price

2. Optics are important. It’s happening to him so it can happen to other past & future presidents. Accountability is important. He says so himself…. “It sets a precedent.”
