Library’s e-resources can be accessed anytime anywhere. The methods to access library’s e-resources from an off-campus site are listed below.

Special Request - Print to E-Copy💻📚

CUHK Library has rolled out a new service whereby staff and students can request an e-copy of an existing library print book to be purchased if the e-copy is available.👍🏻

1️⃣Submit e-copy recommendation via LibrarySearch (http://librarysearch.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/)
2️⃣Click the link “E-Copy Request” under “Get It “of the library book record
3️⃣Fill out the recommendation form

Email notification will be sent to the user advising whether the e-copy recommendation can be fulfilled.

All CUHK staff and students are welcome to recommend library materials by submitting the Purchase Recommendation form (https://app.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/recommend?lang=en-US). The Library will consider purchasing the recommended titles according to the Collection Development Policy (https://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/en/collections/policy) and availability of funds. An electronic version will be preferred and sourced whenever possible.

To support teaching, learning and research, 🔍the Library keeps sourcing high quality electronic resources from the market.Users can try and send us feedback on potential resources listed on our E-Resources on Trial page🗣📩. All feedback would be taken into account in evaluating the related electronic resource.

🖥🖱CUHK staff and students are also welcome to recommend electronic resources through the contact shown on the E-Resources on Trial page. Whether the item to be acquired or not is depending on the Library’s Collection Development Policy and funding availability.

𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺-𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵-𝗮-𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻: 𝗖𝗨𝗛𝗞 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲
Through using the Zoom Conference Meeting, you can communicate with and get assistance from the librarian-on-duty by using chat to write or transfer files, screen sharing or speaking to the librarian, for example, on:

Library services
Access to library e-resources, such as databases, e-books, etc.
Library Collections, such as HK Studies, CUHK Digital Repository
Bibliographical management tools, such as EndNote, RefWorks

Service hours are from 2 pm – 5 pm Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays)
