Dipu Chandra Das was a poor garment worker. He was tied to a tree, beaten, and burned to death on false charges of blasphemy. No one will mention Dipu Chandra Das's name, perhaps because mentioning a minority's name won't win votes from right-wing extremists. Perhaps if he had been a member of the left-leaning Daily Star/Prothom Alo or Chhayanaut, they would have spoken about Dipu.

7 arrested in Mymensingh Hindu youth's beating to death

Mymensingh, 20 December 2025: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested seven people as suspects in the beating to death of Dipu Chandra Das (27), a young man of Sanatan religion, in Bhaluka, Mymensingh.

The arrested are:

4. Ershad Ali (39)
5. Nizum Uddin (20)
6. Alamgir Hossain (38)
7. Md. Miraj Hossain Akon (46)

RAB-14 conducted raids at various locations and arrested the suspects.
