The K-shot is dangerous as well. Don't be fooled that it is"just a vitamin" I have seen horrible reactions to it. Which we're denied by doctor and hospital staff. It can cause death! Read the insert.

Babies do not need synthetic vitamin k. I refused it at birth and the doctor said "what if she bumps her head and bleeds out?!" Bump her head while breastfeeding?! Come on! Delay the cord cutting and the vitamin k in their system is sufficient to last until it is replenished with food.

Can you refuse the vitamin K shot for your baby after birth?
They make it seem as though you cannot.. how do I ask them not to? Having the same doubts about the erythromycin

Yes you can refuse both. My daughter just had a baby in May. She refused both and then some. This was in California, one of the worst states when it comes to over treating newborns. You just need to stand your ground.

Yes you can ask to opt out.
Find a delivery day checklist form online that includes all your wishes, from injections to umbilical care and eye creams and all the rest.
They may say that vitamin K can also be administered orally, and that it is the same vial.
On the pressure side the justification for their push is internal bleeding, primarily in the brain, but of course that's an extremely low chance.
If you ask for the packet insert you'll read that it can actually cause extremely bad reactions including death.
Find confidence in reading everything prior to being in the pressure spot.
God bless you and all the best.

Drugless Sleep: "You Can Sleep Soundly Every Night Without Drugs"
Dr Ian Brighthope - top integrative Medical Doctor in Australia & internationally.
The story of insomnia today is not just about restless nights; it is about an epidemic of sleeplessness entwined with modern technology, cultural habits, and an overstimulated, over-connected toxic world.
Insomnia is not merely a personal inconvenience, it is a public health crisis. Economies are losing billions, healthcare systems are groaning under the burden, and rates are soaring in highly stressed populations. A March 2025 Frontiers in Psychiatry study of over 45,000 Norwegian students put it starkly—just one hour of screen time after bedtime raised insomnia symptoms by nearly 60%. That little glow from a phone or tablet is enough to scramble the brain’s delicate circadian rhythm, delaying sleep and shortening rest.
Even more troubling is the research showing how insomnia accelerates ageing. A May 2025 Sleep study found that chronic insomnia shortens telomeres—the protective caps on our DNA—speeding up cellular ageing and raising the risk of serious illness. The economic toll is staggering: $31 billion in annual losses in the US from workplace mistakes made by sleep-deprived minds.
The gold standard of management is diet. Unlike pills, it addresses root causes. nourishes the mind and body and delivers lasting results. Sleep disruption is linked to neurodegenerative diseases increasing Alzheimer’s risk. This should be a wake-up call—insomnia is not just a nuisance, it can be the silent thief of memory and vitality.
The causes of insomnia
psychological stress, medical illness, stimulant use, alcohol, late-night arguments, rich meals, sugar, alcohol (it may put you to sleep but for only a few hours) additives, noise, and uncomfortable beds—remain relevant. Today, we can add another culprit: the gut microbiome. We now know that a fibre-rich diet, supporting healthy gut bacteria, can improve sleep via the gut-brain axis. My endorsement of short daytime naps also stands; the science now confirms that the Mediterranean siesta, done correctly, boosts health and longevity.
Insomnia is a signal from the body and mind that something needs rebalancing.
We must limit screens in the hour before bed, make treatment and care widely available, embrace nutrition, exercise and mindful relaxation, and explore innovations like wearable sleep trackers. We must treat insomnia as a vital sign, not a minor annoyance—because restoring natural sleep means restoring life itself.

MORNING SUN
WATCH: Neuroscientist Andrew Huberman wows Bill Maher’s audience as he breaks down why sunlight is as vital as diet and exercise.
Nothing will make you want to step outside for sunlight more than this 3-minute clip.

• Getting morning sunlight is “one of the very best things you can do for your sleep, your mood, your wakefulness, for your mitochondria (powerhouse of the cell).”
• It triggers melatonin release at night for deeper, natural sleep.
• Just 2–3 days of morning exposure boosts energy and immunity.
• “And we can actually say that if you’re concerned about longevity, mental health, physical health, that morning sunlight viewing is really the anchor to all of it.”
