CLEAN FRUIT & VEGGIES
Buyer beware
Rinse & soak your produce to remove chemicals.
I use vinegar mixed with water to clean my fruit & veggies..
To clean fruits and vegetables and help remove surface pesticides, waxes, and other residues, soaking them in a vinegar-water solution is a common and effective method. Here are the recommended steps:
Vinegar-Water Soak Guidelines
• Solution Ratio:
1 part distilled white vinegar to 3 parts water
(e.g., 1 cup vinegar + 3 cups water)
• Soaking Time:
10 to 15 minutes is sufficient for most fruits and vegetables.
(I usually do this for 60-90 minutes)
• Rinse Thoroughly:
After soaking, rinse the produce well under clean running water to remove vinegar taste and loosen any remaining residues.
