- In 1940, they passed a resolution " Hukumat-I-Ilahiyya" to regain its lost prestige and popularity, but didn't succeed.

- Since the party had no organisational structure , they failed to work at grassroots level like other organizations.

- they juggled between following policies and remaining independent.

LONAR LAKE ( LONAR CRATER ) :

* Notified National Geo-Heritage Monument in Maharashtra

* Saline soda lake

* Created by a meteor impact during the Pleistocene Epoch

* The lake , which lies in a basalt impact structure, is both saline & alkaline in nature

* It is one of the rare known hyper velocity impact crater in basaltic rock anywhere on Earth (there are three other basaltic impact structures of larger dimensions in South Brazil)

2 small streams named PURNA & PENGANGA drain into the lake, and well of freshwater is located on the southern side , close to the water's edge

* Large quantities of Soda are collected from the lake

* A recent study , conducted by IIT BOMBAY found that the minerals in the lake soil are very similar to the minerals found in moon rock brought back during APOLLO Program

* "Ain-i-Akbari" also mentions about the lake. (historical data)

Dear aspirants ,

Mains has always been the most important part of prepration for CIVILS...

In mere 3-4 months after PRELIMS , its hard to achieve the required standard of ANSWER WRITING....

So it's prudent to complete one round of MAINS preparation before Prelims ; Moreover the Mains prep would also help in having an edge in prelims......

We at CSR classes had successfully completed our 1st phase of 80 days Mains Marathon last month.

* The SC has enriched and enlarged the right to access to justice through public interest litigation , transformed the distant Supreme Court into a poor man's court via innovations such as epistolary jurisdiction.

* Epistolary jurisdiction refers to wherein courts act even on the basis of postcards or telegrams received from individuals or of stories or reports published in magazines or newspapers , and the provision of compulsory legal aid to the needy.
