Ans. D | Explanation:

Given, Marked price = Rs. 16000

So, Cost Price = (16000/160) × 100 = Rs. 10000

If it is sold at 12% discount, then Selling Price = 16000 × (88/100) = Rs. 14080

Profit on cost price = 14080 - 10000 = Rs. 4080

So, Profit percent = (4080/10000) × 100 = 40.8%

Hence, option (d) is correct.

👆Ans. B | Explanation:👆

Let store A has x books.

Then, books in store B = (2/5) x

& Books in store C = (2/5) x × 2/5 = 4x/25

According to the question,

x – 4x/25 = 2100

or 21x/25 = 2100

or x = 2500

Now, Number of books in store B = (2/5) x = (2/5) × 2500 = 1000
