β οΈ Watch out for scammers claiming to represent CPF Board on retirement and investment matters β οΈ
Scammers may impersonate CPF Board officers, government officials or financial advisors. They may claim that they are representing or partnering CPF Board to advise you on retirement and investment matters, including the closure of your Special Account and offering investment products with attractive guaranteed returns.
Recent tactics include:
β’ Calling from local mobile numbers and claiming to be financial agents offering a 6% guaranteed product to maximise retirement payouts.
β’ Sending you links to "official" sources to verify their claims.
β’ Alleging that you had missed a notification from CPF Board about the investment opportunity.
β’ Attempting to arrange a face-to-face meeting, claiming to have obtained your contact number directly from CPF Board.
Ignore these requests. π CPF Board will only contact you through these official channels:
β’ Calls will only be made from 6227 1188. CPF Board will never call you via WhatsApp or any other messaging apps.
β’ SMSes will only be sent from the βgov.sgβ sender ID.
β’ WhatsApp messages to CPF members will be from βCPF Board Text Usβ or βCPF Boardβ, with the blue verified tick.
β’ CPF Board emails will end with @cpf.gov.sg or @e.cpf.gov.sg. Check that the email address is spelt correctly.
