CORTIS has achieved a major milestone with their 2nd mini album, ‘GREENGREEN’, surpassing 4 million copies in cumulative sales.
According to Circle Chart, ‘GREENGREEN’ recorded approximately 4.1 million copies in cumulative sales during the September 6–12 tracking period. This achievement makes CORTIS one of only two artists in Korea to reach the quadruple million-seller status this year, alongside BTS with ‘ARIRANG’.
The album previously recorded 2,313,291 copies in first-week sales, nearly five times higher than their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’, which recorded 436,467 copies. ‘GREENGREEN’ surpassed 3 million copies just 11 weeks after its release and added another approximately 1 million copies over the following two months.
The popularity of ‘GREENGREEN’ was also driven by the title track ‘REDRED’ and b-side ‘YOUNGCREATORCREW’, as well as various merchandise that increased the appeal and collectibility of the physical album. The extended version, ‘GREENGREEN_playextended’, which includes the new tracks ‘PACK IT UP’ and ‘MONEYMONEYMONEY’, also helped maintain interest in the album.
On the global stage, ‘GREENGREEN’ debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and has remained on the chart for 18 consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ has also reached approximately 2.3 million copies in cumulative sales.
This achievement further highlights CORTIS’s rapid growth in just around one year since their debut.
