گرامر آیلتس و تافل

در بحث گرامر آیلتس و تافل ، یکی از مشکلات رایج استفاده ی به جا و مناسب از for و to است. این دو واژه به علت کاربردهای نزدیکی که دارند اغلب به جای یک دیگر به کار می روند و باعث اشتباهات گرامری در گفتار و نوشتار می شوند. در ادامه کاربردهای صحیح آنها را مرور می کنیم.
 

موارد استفاده از for

 

📌schedule: I made an appointment for May 6.

📌function: A ladle is a big spoon used for serving soup.

📌benefits: Yogurt is good for your digestion,

📌period of time: We have lived here for 3 years.

📌Motive/purpose: (for+a noun): I am saving money for a new house.

موارد استفاده از to

📍destination: We are going to Paris.

📍distance: It’s about a mile from my house to the institute.

📍comparing (prefer): I prefer eating sushi to eating pizza.

📍giving: I gave my book to her.

📍motive/purpose: (to+ a verb): I am saving money to buy a new house.

نکته:

گاهی برای بیان ارزش ها از to و برای بیان نظر شخصی از for استفاده می شود که بسیار شبیه به هم است. برای مثال:
Honesty is important for me. (opinion: sth you need or will help you in a way)
Helping the environment is important to me. (value)

✅What are the most difficult jobs that people do?
I think jobs can be hard for various different reasons. Some professions, such as concert pianist or surgeon, are difficult in the sense that they require a high level of skill that must be developed through many years of study and practice. On the other hand, jobs like police officer, firefighter or soldier might not require such high skill levels, but they are known to be extremely stressful and sometimes traumatic.

✅Why do you think some people choose to do difficult jobs?
I suppose we all want to do something meaningful. For some people, this means achieving a great ambition that takes years of hard work. People who choose dangerous jobs might do so for altruistic reasons or because they feel it’s their duty to contribute to society.

✅Do you agree or disagree that all jobs are difficult sometimes?
I would have to disagree with that. I think we all feel that our jobs are difficult or stressful at times, but in the grand scheme of things we have nothing to complain about. A tight deadline or a lost computer file are really just minor inconveniences when compared with the horrors of war that soldiers face, or the life-and-death situations that paramedics see every day.

1. ‘The best of both worlds’ – means you can enjoy two different opportunities at the same time.

اهمیت گرامر در آزمون

همانطور که میدانید در آیلتس گرامر به طور مستقیم مورد سنجش قرار نمی گرد. اما حین نوشتن و صحبت کردن در بخش های رایتینگ و مصاحبه، گرامر بخشی از امتیاز شما را شکل می دهد. گرامر در تمامی آزمون های زبان، چه به صورت مستقیم و چه غیرمستقیم مورد سنجش قرار میگرد. در ادامه یکی از مشکلات رایج در گرامر آیلتس و تافل را مرور می کنیم.
 

گرامر آیلتس و تافل:
تفاوت as long as و unless

در موقعیت های مختلف شما می توانید بجای کلمه if، از as long as یا unless استفاده کنید. اما کاربرد این دو متفاوت است.
اگر بند جمله ی شرط شما در جمله ی شرطی مثبت باشد و if را با as long as عوض کنید، بند جمله همچنان مثبت است.
I’ll go shopping if you come with me .
I’ll go shopping as long as you come with me .
اما هنگامی که بند جمله شرطی در حضور if منفی است و بجای if از unless استفاده کنیم، فعل بند جمله مثبت می شود اما تغییری در معنا ایجاد نمیشود.
I won’t go shopping if you don’t come with me .
 I won’t go shopping unless you come with me.
