Al-Qassam Mourns Its Chief of Staff and a Group of Senior Leaders Killed in Combat

The Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced the martyrdom of a distinguished group of the Palestinian people and valiant fighters who had passed away following the occupation’s breach of the ceasefire and the resumption of its criminal warlast March.

In aspeech delivered Monday, Dec 29, the spokesperson for the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades Abu Obaida, said: “With pride and honor, we mourn the great martyred commander and fighter, Chief of Staff of the Qassam Brigades late Mohammed Sinwar (Abu Ibrahim); the great commander Mohammed Shabana (Abu Anas),Commander of the Rafah Brigade; the great commander Hakam Issa (Abu Omar), headof the Combat Weapons Division; and the great commander, the martyred sheikh Raed Saad (Abu Muadh), head of the Manufacturing Division of the al-Qassam brigades.

On the Prisoner and Remains File:
We have handled the file of prisoners and remains with absolute transparency. We have fulfilled all our obligations in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, delivering all the living prisoners and remains in our possession as quickly as possible and without delay. This was achieved despite the Zionist occupation’s lack of commitment and the dozens of violations and massacres it committed during the process.

On Commitment to Resolving the File:
We are fully committed to closing this file permanently and have no interest in procrastination. This stance is rooted in our concern for the interests of our people. Working under complex and nearly impossible conditions, we have successfully recovered and handed over the remains of the enemy’s prisoners with the full knowledge of the mediators. We call upon these mediators to uphold their responsibilities and compel the occupation to implement what has been agreed upon.

Regarding the Soldier "Ran Gvili":
Concerning the remains of the soldier Ran Gvili, we confirm that we have provided the mediators with all the details and information in our possession regarding the location of the prisoner's remains. What confirms the truth of our statement is that the enemy is currently conducting search operations in a specific location based on the precise information provided by the Al-Qassam Brigades to the mediators.
