Liquidation on the Crypto Futures: How it works and How avoid it

Margin Crypto #Trading is very risky. When you open a leveraged position, the crypto exchange borrows your money to back that position, so if the price goes against you, your entire position can be liquidated and your "money disappears"

🟢 For instance, using 10x leverage means you can control a position size 10 times your actual investment. If you have only $100 your position increases to $1000, if price adds +1% you'll get $10 profit instead of $1 without the leverage

🟢 But this carries a risk, if the price suddenly goes against you and changes by -10%, you will lose all the money in this position.

🟢 With 25 leverage, the risk of liquidation occurs when the price changes by 4%, and with 50, by only 2%.

🟢Thus, the higher the leverage you set, the greater the risk, but also the greater the proportional profit. I do not recommend setting leverage above 20-25 since the #cryptomarket is very volatile and any sharp price change, even for a second, will lead to liquidation and loss of money

🟢 To avoid the risk of liquidation, it is necessary to set a STOP-LOSS. It is in the futures market that a stop loss is absolutely necessary - at a distance of at least 1% from the liquidation trigger price
