Tips To Remember During Revision

1. Follow ABC analysis for the revision sequence but don't leave any chapter based on ABC. Start with small & easy chapters of category A then move to difficult chapters.

2. Whenever you revise the subject, don't solve all the questions from study material or question bank. Follow below approach

Cancel the same or similar question

Cancel the easy question which you have solved correctly in first try without any

Mark the important or difficult question where you made mistake for next revision.

3. There is no need to solve all questions by hand during revision as it will consume lots of time and you may not able to revise all the chapter instead follow below approach for smart revision

Read the question

Think of the first step you will do to solve the question

Calculate the values for the first step in calculator, (if question is small then calculate the final answer directly on calculator)

Match the answer of first step with ICAI answer and continue the process for next step and solve the entire question

This way you can solve question faster and you will know ICAI method as well since you have verified the ICAI answer.

4. Note down all the mistakes you have done while solving question in a mistake register and refer those mistakes next time before you start solving practical ans

5. For writing practice,
Refer the previous attempt papers and do solve some random Qns by hand

Do give 1 MTP and

6. Refer the theory & important formulas from last day revision notes at the end of each revision and do revise them on the exam day as these takes less time and gives you 12-15 marks in exams.

AVOID THIS MISTAKE
I have seen people studying one subject and thinking about another.
Please don't do this mistake.
By doing this, you are not only getting tensed about that other subject, but also you are losing your focus from the first one.

PRO TIP 1-Don't focus much on ITC and FTP. Keep it last whether it is your first reading/last day revision/exam
PRO TIP 2-Theory chapters of GST are very scoring. Please don't leave them.

One of the questions that trouble CA students is how many revisions should be done before appearing for actual exam?

Till what date our syllabus should get over?

I would suggest you not to keep any deadline or targets for revision as that will only make you feel the pressure and affect your productivity negatively.

You will enjoy the process only when you study without any pressure.

I have seen many students who set the target for the day, but once they lose their track, they waste their entire day on social media or any other unproductive activity.

Ek baar padhna start toh karo, fir bina target ke bhi padhai ho jaaegi yaar.

NOTE-This is my viewpoint, some others may not agree.

Bohot baar hum kuch zyada hi tension le lete hai attempts ka/rank ka/marks ka 😰

2 Important Tips -

- For Practical - It's not necessary to do written practice of all the questions. Vouch most of the questions and solve (write) only 1-2 big questions of each chapter.

- For Theory - Try to read from some short notes/ charts as you are starting the subject now.

Jo log bol rahe hai ki last 2.5 months me possible nahi hai, wo khud ki baat kar rahe hai.

Aapki nahi.

Aap aap ho.
Wo wo hai.

Aap se ho jaayega 💪
