Yes you can use the same credentials.

However, If you don't want to use the older details; you need a New E - mail ID and a new phone number for fresh registrations!

Is it possible that we fill only the 1st form of SNAP and, later on after our CAT and NMAT, we can fill the college preference form and also make the payment at that time only?

Some of the colleges have their last day to apply till a few days after the exam, but most colleges closes their application form before the results are announced. So if you are planning to appear for SNAP keep a tab on the closing days of application of the various colleges under SIU.

Do all B schools get a 100% placement?

No. None of the B schools get a 100% placement. Those who don't get a placement are made to sign off the placement saying that they don't want placements. All just a marketing gimmick just to show that they have a 100% placement record

So take any placement report with a word of caution

If someone has a supplementary in college exams due to not being able to give an exam and will not need to give the exam again; Does that impact the chances of getting a call from an IIM?

Having a supplementary does not effect the chances of you getting a call. But, you do need to ensure that you clear the exam by the time you have to join them in July next year.

If you still have a back at that time, then your admission will be cancelled.

Which attempt of MICAT should I write? What's the difference between the two attempts?

MICAT requires you to have a valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT score. The first attempt is for the ones who already have such score from the last cycle. If you don't already have that score, you cannot write MICAT 1 and can only attempt MICAT 2.

However, if you write both MICAT 1 and MICAT 2 exam, the higher of your two scores will be taken into account for the final decision. So even if you fail to pass MICAT 1, you can still be eligible to appear for MICAT 2 exam.

Should I opt for NMAT at centre or at home?

I would always suggest taking NMAT at Centre. The problem with test taking at home is that it is never quiet nor completely alone at home. Any disturbance would be chance for test convenor to cancel the test and you would have to start the process from scratch.

Taking test at centre is cumbersome but would help you avoid all the hassle!

How many colleges should I fill for SNAP? What all colleges should I fill?

Since you need to pay Rs. 1000 for each college that you apply to, and there are many niche colleges, it will become expensive real fast.

My suggestion - Pick at max 5 colleges in the following order:

1. SIBM Pune
2. SCMHRD Pune
3. SIIB Pune
4. SIOM Nashik
5. SIMS, Pune

NMAT Registration & Application Process ended at 5 PM, October 10, 2023

However, First exam date can be scheduled till October 12, 2023

Exam reschedule / retake can be scheduled anytime till December 19, 2023

Can I still apply to NMIMS after 10th October, 2023?

Unfortunately, no! NMIMS last date for registration was 10th October.

Update: NMAT Registrations have been extended to 21st October. If anyone missed out earlier, you can do so now!

Do I need to fill XLRI form separately for admission through XAT?

XAT application form 2024 includes a field in which the candidates have to select XLRI course in which they want to take admission. You don't have to fill another form 😊

I will graduate in 2024. I am planning to write all the MBA entrance exams for this year. Should I sit in the Final Placements or not?

I always suggest everyone to take a placement if they are getting from the college. And apply for a higher studies simultaneously

The decision to join would be in April - May 2024. At that time you can decided whether you want to join or not. But it doesn't harm knowing you have options to choose from!

All slots are equally good/bad.

What you should do now:

1) Stop worrying and Start practicing

2) Practice mocks in your dedicated slot to get your body habituated.

3) If anyone has got a Center out of their preference list, please plan to reach there a day before.

4) Read all the instructions on the admit card very carefully. There are several important ones.
