I have a GAP YEAR. Will it hamper my prospect of an admission? Does it really matter?
No and Yes.
You need to understand that having a gap year is not the problem in itself. The problem is most students don't plan to address that gap!
Gap year does not matter if you have a justification for the same. Sickness. Internships. Projects. Family commitments. etc.
Gap year matters if you "had taken a break to prepare for the exam".
What you need to understand is that they are looking for managers. If you have whittled away a resource as precious as an year; what does that tell them about you?
So, if you have a gap, you need to have a justification for that. As long as you have a justification as well as the capability to answer questions on those justifications - Its all GOLDEN!
Sincerely

Does clearing the CAT/XAT/Any other exam school mean everything is set?
Nothing could be further away from the truth.
See, there is this thing called as GD/PI.
Right now you are facing some 3 Lakh odd aspirants, bulk which are not really serious in their preparation. So, its easier now.
But during GDPI, all are really sincere candidates. Plus, there are no faculties/ mentors which go to that round!
And, unfortunately, people don't focus on this round as much as they should.
zyada halke mein le lete hain.
and then yeh round un logon ke mazze leta hai!

A sincere request to all
For GD/PI sessions, please trust someone / some institute who has a background for helping others
Not a college student who cracked the exam and is still in the college / barely graduated
On TG, IG, LinkedIn; I see numerous posts from students (read influencers due to batch sizes) offering their Guidance/ Counselling/ PI services for a "minimum charge".
If and when you do get a shot; don't let it go to waste due to incompetent or insufficient guidance
Regards

Which B - school is better?
This is a very common question that I get in groups, classroom or DMs. The answer depends on several factors such as:
1. Current graduation and future aspirations
2. Work experience or Internship experiences you have had
3. Family background - Do you support from family business etc?
4. How desperate you are to do an MBA?
I have seen students reject IMI Delhi or IMT Ghaziabad because they aspired for a better opportunity and were in no hurry to do an MBA.
I have also seen people pining for IMI Delhi or IMT Ghaziabad.
I have also had interaction with people who settled for a tier 3 college despite having a high potential because they could not wait for another year!
So, don't take random opinions online. What may suit one may not suit others!
PS: A Golden Rule - Go to every interview opportunity you do get. Convert them first and then worry about which B - school to join.

As promised, here is a compilation of some questions for (a lot of) hobbies.
Some basic guidelines in the starting.
I am sure these are bound to help in the upcoming interviews!
PS: This has been a exhausting process. This, obviously, is a work in progress. I will keep on updating as I get better resource material. As it is, this is compiled from so many different sources; I have forgotten where I got what from. So - Thanks to the Internet
Would love for you to share this in your groups ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

How to address "Gap year" in the interview?
1. Don't highlight the "Gap year" issue by yourself. Let the interviewer discover it and question you.
2. While it's essential to address the gap year, don't dwell on it for too long. Provide a concise and clear explanation, and then move on to discussing your qualifications and eagerness for the opportunity.
3. Be honest about the reason for your gap year. Emphasize any useful experiences that you might have gained during this time and how they make you a stronger candidate. Discuss any projects, volunteer work, or learning experiences you engaged in during the gap year to demonstrate that you used the time proactively.
4. If you used the gap year for personal development or to overcome challenges, talk about the skills you developed or the lessons you learned. This can show resilience and a commitment to self-improvement.
For detailed discussion, DM @TheQuantMentor. I will try and answer as soon as I can.

Tips for a Strong Resume:
1. Keep it concise (1 page)
2. Use a clean, professional font and maintain consistency in formatting
3. Utilize bullet points for easy readability
4. Quantify achievements where possible (use numbers and percentages)
Remember, your resume should be a snapshot of your professional journey, emphasizing your strengths and suitability for the position you're seeking.
I am attaching a format for CV. Use it in case you find it useful. One of the bachchas among you had shared their word file with me. I don't remember who it was but thanks.
Adjust the content based on your unique experiences and the job requirements.
