Cloud AI vs Local AI Features in Dental Software: How They Actually Work?

To understand this, we first need to separate two important concepts in modern software: AI Modules and AI Features. Many people confuse these two, but they work in completely different ways.

1️⃣ AI Modules (Cloud-Based AI Systems)

AI Modules are the modern type of artificial intelligence used in most advanced software today.

🔛 They rely on external company servers (such as OpenAI or software like Exocad,Realguide).
🔛 When you use them, your request is sent over the internet to powerful remote servers.
🔛 The actual processing is done on high-performance GPUs in data centers.
🔛 The result is then sent back to your computer.

Because of this architecture:
✅ The software must be authenticated.
✅ Unauthorized or cr@cked versions usually fail after a short time.
✅ Even if they initially work, access is often detected and blocked.

This is why AI Modules cannot realistically be “cr@cked” in a stable way.
