In case anyone’s not seen this yet - the “Ferguson Report” of March 16, which triggered lockdown on 23rd, download the 16-page report here. This is the topic of discussion later at 4pm (see pinned post for zoom link). I’ll give my commentary for the first 20 mins then it’s open discussion for the next 20 mins. Ends at 4:40pm.
Hey remember the ‘70s and ‘80s, when they said Guinness was good for you? Now they’re telling you vaccines are safe and effective, masks prevent transmission and testing saves lives. 🤔🧐🤨
whoever was on that zoom call just then, APOLOGIES!!! I only have the basic plan, hadn't realised the time and I have another zoom at 4:45pm!! massive apologies - as usual we were just getting into it. Can we reconvene next sunday, and make it a longer session?
Out of respect to several of the participants, I've decided not to share the recording of this afternoon's zoom meeting and will delete it instead. Going forward, I'll hold further Sunday sessions, and these won't be recorded either. So we will be able to speak more freely and they will be more of a private conversation.
Going forward, sunday sessions 4pm will be more technical - continuing on the Ferguson report for the time being.
... Then, beginning Friday 5th March I'll be hosting Friday lunchtime sessions - these will be designed to offer (non-legal) support and encouragement to anybody wanting to tackle a specific lockdown-related issue, eg, struggling with mask abuse, discrimination, struggling to exert their rights, feeling isolated, family rifts, that type of thing. Please join either to SEEK or GIVE support to others in this group.
First Friday of every month is FREEDOM FRIDAY - starting 5 March, this will be a lunchtime Zoom at 12pm.

This session is for those struggling with the restrictions and/or asserting their rights.

The session is not designed to give legal advice, it is to offer moral support and encouragement and empower people to take charge of their own circumstances.

Also to chat and share stories, direct each other to resources, and have a much needed laugh!

Zoom invite will be shared here and in the CACUK newsletter.
