2021 - results

Since the launch of C100 Index in 2021, quite a lot has happened on the crypto market. While trends have been constantly changing, the original strategy of selecting participants and rebalancing has proven to be sound. Over the past year, quite a few index members have changed - every month from 4 to 12 new growing companies came to replace the projects that were losing market momentum.

Publishing our performance results below:

The total return since launch has been around 330%.

Is it decent? To answer that question, we can look at the profitability of one of the main market indicators – the Bitcoin exchange rate. It has risen from 29 000 to 47 200 in one year, which equates to an approximate return of 61%.

However, it is obviously not appropriate to compare the returns of a single asset and an index. An alternative way to measure yield is by comparing it to other cryptocurrency indices.
For example, the Nasdaq Crypto Index (NCI), composed of the 8 largest cryptocurrencies, showed a negative 1Y return of 11% since inception in April.

Crypto market leaders were changing, and, certainly, with a wider range of participants taken into account the results are different.
The S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Market Index, a broad-based index of 240 cryptocurrency companies, showed a year-to-date return of +154%.
