New Product Announcement: Dell Connectrix DS-7730B Gen 7 Enterprise Switch Available
Dell Technologies has released the Connectrix DS-7730B Gen 7 (64G) enterprise switch, as well as 64G double-density transceiver for the DS-7730B and DS-7720B.
Dell has announced the availability of the Connectrix DS-7730B enterprise switch, a high-density 64G Fibre Channel building block that enables dense rackmount environments to connect more devices and build larger fabrics. The switch is based on Brocade’s Gen 7 Fibre Channel, maximizing performance with 64G links and 50% lower latency, securing the SAN against cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and enabling a self-learning, self-optimizing and self-healing autonomous SAN.
The Connectrix DS-7730B also provides investment protection for the Dell customers’ SAN infrastructure as they can simply deploy NVMe/FC over their Connectrix B-Series Fibre Channel network as needed, optimizing Dell NVMe storage by running NVMe/FC traffic concurrently with their traditional Fibre Channel network.

Important Changes to Brocade Education Access and Accounts
Beginning June 15th 2022, accessing Brocade Education content will require a valid corporate email when creating a Broadcom account and customers will need to upgrade their profile to add Brocade Storage Networking (requires a physical address). Individual email accounts with public domains (such as Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail) and corporate email accounts who have not upgraded their account to access BSN content will be restricted from accessing Brocade education.
If you used an individual email address during account registration you will need to take the following two steps:
1. Go to Broadcom.com and create a new Broadcom account using a valid corporate email. For instruction go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2orhiiagTcA
2. Send an email to brocade-education@broadcom.com with the details identifying the previous account (email address and name) and the new account (email address and name) and we will move your entire transcript over to the new account.

NetApp announced the availability of Brocade G730 Switch. In addition, NetApp also launched the 64G Fibre Channel optical transceiver that expands the port density for the Brocade G730 and G720 switches.
NetApp’s Gen 7 product family with the G730, enables them to deliver enterprise solutions for today’s critical business operations that require performance, automation and reliability in a secure environment. This becomes critical as NetApp continue to expand their storage portfolio with the recent launch of the FAS9500 that was designed for enterprise workloads.

HPE Announces General Availability of the SN6750B (G730) Enterprise Switch
On July 5th, HPE expanded their Brocade Gen 7 FC SAN portfolio with the introduction of the SN6750B (G730) enterprise switch. While this launch provides HPE’s customers with industry-leading switch port density, they also gain access to Gen 7 functionality such as enhanced security and Autonomous SAN capabilities that make FC SANs inherently more efficient than Ethernet networks.

New NetApp Verified Architecture Leverages NVMe over FC with VMware vSphere 7.0
The NetApp Verified Architecture (NVA) validates the performance benefits of NVMe/FC vs. SCSI/FCP for VMware vSphere 7.0. The infrastructure includes Brocade G720 switches, Emulex LPe35002 HBAs and NetApp AFF A800 storage. The NVMe/FC solution delivered more than 50% higher total IOPS compared to SCSI/FCP. This enables customers to run more workloads and provide better client performance by enabling NVMe on existing FCP infrastructure.
