🚨 A roundabout known locally as the ‘Forlico Corner’ for over 50 years, named after a pioneering Australian family who helped build Griffith—has now been officially renamed in Punjabi as “Khalsa Chowk”, complete with foreign script. The Sikh community makes up just 3.6% of the town.

This push was led by community activist Harpreet Singh and backed by Manjit Singh Lally, the only Sikh ever to serve on Griffith Council.

🚨 Lake Monger in Perth officially renamed ‘Galup’.

Lake Monger was named after John Henry Monger, an early colonial settler and merchant who arrived in Western Australia in 1829. He was a prominent figure in the Swan River Colony. The lake was named in recognition of his influence and land ownership in the area.

This renaming is part of a broader trend of erasing colonial-era names across Australia.

A street sweeper was dismissed by a Melbourne City Council after he questioned why the Acknowledgement of Country was being made at a meeting of the street cleaning team.

The Council’s CEO said, “At Council we have an ongoing commitment to recognise, respect and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and cultures in the community and our organisation”.

With typical Acknowledgments of Country, to “recognise, respect and value” indigenous people implies that they remain the rightful owners of the land and that the Australian nation is therefore illegitimate.

Fair Work Commission deputy president Richard Clancy found Mr Turner did not adopt a tone that was disrespectful, sarcastic or aggressive, as the Council claimed.

We aren't aware of anyone in Australia ever losing his job for failing to respect European or British descended Australians, yet we are told that White people in Australia are privileged.

The government is now planning to train border officials to detect and deport people based on their beliefs. Which in many cases, correlate strongly with ethnic or cultural backgrounds.
