“Australia is at a critical juncture in its fight to eradicate racism but must confront the legacy of colonisation and white privilege before moving forward, according to a landmark new report by the Australian Human Rights Commission.”

The report also called for structural racism, "implicit" in institutions like the judicial system, healthcare, workplaces and even in Parliament House, to be dismantled.
"Our systems are built to maintain white privilege," the report said.
"Those who are white can successfully navigate, access, and lead systems and institutions without having to shed their language, culture, religion, and other parts of themselves."
