#London's Pubs Are Dying ⚰️

Here is a montage of a few public houses across #London that have been closed. I wonder if you'll recognize any of them or where they were? We are losing countless Pubs, some which were irreplaceable

Just because a "#pub" is still open doesn't make it a real public house. Throughout time, pubs were places for the poor & wealthy alike to seek cheap refuge among others, obtaining much needed social interaction & forming community bonds. "Gastropubs" are the polar opposite.

The West Port, Grassmarket 1856

It's name probably derives from the musical connection (bagpipes). It looks as though this is where you'd get your pipes made here.

The concept of friendship has been utterly distorted. People's excuses to be around others & naturally find connections have been stripped & replaced with soulless, noisy, uninviting bars. A wholesome, down to earth #Pub will never be equalled.

Join us as we briefly discuss the important connection between the pub & football scenes whilst taking a look at a stunning, prime example of a pub that highlights how important the combination are to each other. The first scene is a shortened snipped from our longer piece which covered the four pubs which surrounded the old (demolished) #BrentfordStadium. Follow us on You Tube for many similar features of the past and those we'll be releasing in the future. Thank you 🍻🤝
