The spectacular @TrafalgarT Trafalgar Tavern is an opulent pub/function building in the Royal Borough of #Greenwich, #London.

This was a special day for me, at different times it included some very special people in places that mean the world to me.

Built in 1837, the year Queen Victoria ascended to the throne, it was a small inn (The Old George) which served local fisherman.

Popular due to its prominent position on the River Thames & sitting so close to Greenwich Hospital/Woolwich Dockyard.

Barking Road is a world of pub stores and pub losses all to itself. This hostelry is the first one would have come across on the high street. A pub with a troublesome reputation and a world class boxing legacy, now it's building serves as a Turkish restaurant. 🍻

The Britannia once sat at 279 Mare Street. It would be renamed The Samuel Pepys after #WWII. It was heartlessly demolished and rebuilt in 2004 as the Marie Lloyd Bar, now a different modern bar at 289-291 Mare Street, #Kingsland, #London, #E8. Replaced with a tacky, ugly building as usual.
