Whyte Harte #Bletchingley, #Surrey

@TheWhyteHarte Old grade II listed inn which has reputedly been a hostelry since 1388. It is constructed from ships' timbers that were said to be 400 years old (at the time!) Several alterations have taken place over the years. When #Bletchingley was a rotten borough, the elections were held in this public house. It has 3 amazing fireplaces such as "chimney corner", which has a fire-back in the grate dated 1613

This building is as stunning inside as it is out and lays the claim that it's the most famous Inn that #Derbyshire has to offer.

The Albion, St Paul's Way, Bow (1980s). Established in 1881 and closed around 1990. It hung around in a derelict state until 2005 when it was demolished. Apparently the pub had closed shortly after the body of a murder victim was found in the back yard.

The Flying Scud #RIP ⚰️

Once situated at 137 #Hackney Green Road, closed 1994, Demolished in 2009.

Vandals graffiti and modernity now fill where it once stood.
