One of my biggest issues with Alex and has been for a while since he started crusading for Trump in 2016 is that he almost gets it, he's right there but it just seems like it doesn't hook up for him. He got duped into falling for the Trump deception in the first place and it's shit like this continues to prove Trump is a part of the establishment, not to mention all of Trumps pro establishment policies that Alex just outright ignores, and it's like he just can't quite see it. Or doesn't want to see it.

In this monologue Alex says "he sees the way the establishment goes after Trump" — yeah, because it's freaking controlled opposition! That's how they get people to support him and continue to reinforce the false dichotomy, by PRETENDING Trump isn't one of them!! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Alex is calling out Trump for this. There's a lot of shit he should have been calling him out on but hasn't, and there have been times in the past where Alex has thrown the book at Trump and seemed like he was starting to get it and then went right back to cheering for him. So I'm not holding my breath when he says he's "gonna go on a warpath". But I hope he does.
