The San Diego-based biotechnology company is developing a radiation-sickness antidote. John Clerici, a partner at the law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge, who represents BioPort, said, "I think this makes clear that NIH can and will do what it wantsโฆ no matter what the rules have been in the past. This isn't exactly fair and open competition."
