π‘π‘π‘'It is what it is?' In this context, it's like What can I say that is utterly moronic, grandiose, anti-science, against basic human rights and anti-democracy all at the same time. Ah, there's the catchphrase I'm looking for. It is what it is. Translation, what a bunch of anti-science, power-mongering, bottom-of-the-barrel, personalities have decided to do in a futile attempt to fill the gaping hole in their souls by power mongering over others. π―https://t.me/soscanada

Canada isnβt tribally politicized enough for them yet, this will accelerate the culture war as people dig in to the slow grind of losing rights.

πΊπΈπΊπ¦β‘Ukraine received fighter jets and spare parts from US allies
John Kirby clarified that the US helped with the delivery of additional spare parts, but did not carry the "whole" aircraft. He did not say which country/countries provided the aircraft.
Because Russia is launching a new offensive in the Donbass, the United States "very, very soon" will train Ukrainians in the handling of artillery systems. A limited number of Ukrainian instructors will learn how to work with them and then train their colleagues. The system and its munitions will also be moved from the US to Ukraine "very, very soon," he said.

πΊπΈπΊπ¦β‘White House will announce a new "big package" of military assistance to Ukraine the other day - NBC News, citing 5 US officials.
3 of them said the size of the package would be similar to the $800 million that Biden's office announced last week.
The 2 officials said the new aid would include more artillery and tens of thousands more shells, which would likely "be decisive" for a new phase of the war in Donbas.
Officials clarified that Biden did not sign the new package. But when asked if he would send more artillery to Ukraine, he answered in the affirmative

When Belorussian authorities pulled Roman Protasevich, a blogger who had served a combat tour in the neo-Nazi Azov battalion before working for Radio Free Europeβs Belarus channel out of Prague, off an airplane in May, 2021, on charges of inciting a political opposition (roughly the equivalent of sedition), the world went crazy, accusing Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of trampling on free speech. Protasevich is alive and well, living under house arrest while awaiting trial.
When reports emerged that Gonzo Lira, a Chilean social media βinfluencerβ who resided in Kharkov, Ukraine, and who published online content critical of the Ukrainian government, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by the Kraken Unit, part of the Azov battalion affiliated with the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), the West is silent.
Free speech isnβt a one way street. To remain silent in the murder of Gonzo Lira is to be complicit in his death, and the deaths of all journalists who pursue the truth, even if it runs counter to the mainstream narrative. Critical thinking should not be a death sentence. Unfortunately for Gonzo Lira, it seems it was.
