🚨 Mateo Kovacic is injured and will miss the game against Tottenham.
Kovačić & Thiago have transformative effects when they play. But you can’t rely on their fitness. You need plans without them. Frenkie fits Tuchel’s double 6 system & has Kova’s ball progression. Nunes is a dynamic box to box presence who can play RCM or Wijnaldum’s old LCM role.
🚨Sources have told ESPN that Thomas Tuchel wants 3 more signings before the transfer window closes next month. #CFC
Tuchel on tactical battle with Conte: "We need to be smart and stop the counterattacks before they start." #CFC
If #Chelsea are going to win on Sunday, this really is the key.
Tottenham counter at great speed. They are also ahead of us in fitness and preparation at this stage, we must stop their flow quickly as TT says.
Note: Expect a lot of counter-pressing from CFC this weekend.

Brighton and Brentford have both been in 4th tier of English football this century. That they can both so comprehensively outclass Man Utd is a victory for football. No club is too big to fail. No amount of money matters without basic competence, vision, strategy and innovation.
Brighton and Brentford appoint qualified off-field specialists to improve their clubs. Man Utd's vulture capitalists appointed an investment banker solely on the basis of helping their disgraceful takeover. And 9 years later replaced him directly with his friend from Bristol Uni.

Tuchel should strongly consider a return to the hybrid 3-4-3/4-2-2-2 system that he used in the League Cup semi-final & at the Bernabéu last season. That four man box midfield naturally overloads Conte’s double pivot. RLC in the hybrid wing-back/right 10 role.James at RCB vs Son.

Chelsea XI to face Tottenham: Mendy; James, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly; Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Jorginho, Cucurella; Mount, Havertz, Sterling
Potentially going to be 4-2-2-2 in possession and 3-4-3 without the ball as Loftus-Cheek drops into right wing-back. #CFC
🚨Chelsea are close to signing Cesare Casedei.
The 3rd bid could be as much as £12m and aim to complete the deal this week. #CFC

🚨 Chelsea FC will wait for the findings of a new independent panel before deciding whether to lodge a formal complaint about the referee Anthony Taylor.
Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei has agreed personal terms with #Chelsea on six year deal. Next official offer set to be accepted.
Starting to warm to the idea of Gordon as wingback after hearing some other opinions from friends. I think Gordon for wingback and versatility, Zaha and Auba for attack would be immense. Fofana deal we need to wrap up, and then it’s in gods hands for FDJ. Let me dream of it all.
Outgoings we’ve already seen Werner and Lukaku leave in attack, I’d let CHO leave on loan next and then Ziyech hopefully goes too. If we get Zaha and Auba we’d be left with Sterling Zaha Auba Broja Havertz Pulisic Mount Gordon as attacking options. Not too bad at all.

Barcelona have been trying to persuade Sergiño Dest to accept a move to #Chelsea this window as they believe an offer is attainable. Manchester United and Juventus are also keen.
#CFC view him as another potential versatile right-sided player and an option to Gordon.
Chelsea's current priority is Gordon, who is a Tuchel pick for his directness and speed. However, if Gordon is priced out, the club may look elsewhere and that includes Dest.
This would be a good move as long as the price is reasonable.
Would effectively rule out a return for Tino next summer, but he has a long way to go before he gets back on the pitch, let along his best.

Chelsea are willing to spend over £150m on Wesley Fofana, Anthony Gordon, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Frenkie de Jong and Cesare Casadei.
Chelsea confident latest offer for Aubameyang will be accepted. They are yet to discuss personal terms with him with a meeting scheduled later today. As reported yesterday, Xavi has told Aubameyang he’s part of his plans. Tuchel also spoken to Aubameyeng & convinced he’ll move.
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have been close from reaching agreement on a €60m fee for Marcos Llorente, but the player has refused to leave Madrid. 🔵 #CFC
To clarify, bid has been sent in the first days of July. Tuchel and his staff discussed Llorente's name internally. 🇪🇸
Not only Marcos Llorente, but #Chelsea also looked at Llorente’s teammate, Thomas Lemar earlier in the window. It was a name discussed internally. Tuchel liked the idea of Lemar due to his versatility to play wing-back and in attack, but Atleti wanted to keep him. 🇫🇷 #CFC
