Timo Werner is one of the most beloved figures in this #Chelsea team. The fans have loved him from day one due to his positive attitude, endless motor and determination.

It’s a shame things didn’t work out, but I think it’s safe to say Timo will have many rooting for him now

Chelsea are still trying to sign Fofana and may be prepared to go to £80m+, the feeling is that if bidding reaches that level, Leicester WILL sell.

Finance Expert Kieran Maguire : “When you buy, you spread the cost over length of contract, if Chelsea spend £300m this summer the amortised cost per year is going to only be around £50-60m, people just focus on the money and ignore FFP is based on a 3 year assessment period”

Using a football inflation calculator, Abramovich’s first summer was worth around £406.3m, Maguire says he is relaxed about Chelsea and FFP as they can say covid had an impact and also from 2015-2020 they made more than any prem club in sales at £434m.

Chelsea are currently £10M short of Leicester City's valuation for Wesley Fofana, as the London club prepare another bid.

Barcelona agreed a transfer fee with Man United on 14 July over the sale of Frenkie de Jong. Less than 24 hours later, they directly threaten legal action against all parties involved in his most recent contract renewal. A truly fascinating course of events.

#CFC also pushing for Frenkie de Jong. Joan Laporta again stated Barca want to keep him and de Jong wishes to stay. Chelsea optimistic but they won't formally move until de Jong tells them he will join. De Jong, as previously reported, prefers Chelsea to Manchester United.

Barca basically telling Frenkie screw your deferred wages.

He's going to Chelsea. Don't see him staying at Barca.

🚨Chelsea could find out this week if they have a realistic chance of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona

Barcelona will sell one of Depay or Aubameyang not both. #CFC

Chelsea remain in dialogue with Leicester for Wesley Fofana.

Still awaiting on De Jong’s Decision.

Hakim Ziyech still wants to leave a Chelsea.

Other than holding talks for Wesley Fofana and exploring a move for Aubameyang.

They are exploring for RWB options too.

Any time you post anything anti-Barca - which is true - they come at you in their numbers. They can’t handle the truth. Such a toxic club.

#Chelsea are considering making a move for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried #Zaha before the transfer window closes.

Palace are interested in a number of Chelsea players who could be included in a deal. Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoi two of them.

Good luck, Timo. You'll always be one of us 💙

🚨 Mateo Kovacic is injured and will miss the game against Tottenham.

Kovačić & Thiago have transformative effects when they play. But you can’t rely on their fitness. You need plans without them. Frenkie fits Tuchel’s double 6 system & has Kova’s ball progression. Nunes is a dynamic box to box presence who can play RCM or Wijnaldum’s old LCM role.

🚨Sources have told ESPN that Thomas Tuchel wants 3 more signings before the transfer window closes next month. #CFC

Tuchel on tactical battle with Conte: "We need to be smart and stop the counterattacks before they start." #CFC

If #Chelsea are going to win on Sunday, this really is the key.

Tottenham counter at great speed. They are also ahead of us in fitness and preparation at this stage, we must stop their flow quickly as TT says.

Note: Expect a lot of counter-pressing from CFC this weekend.

Brighton and Brentford have both been in 4th tier of English football this century. That they can both so comprehensively outclass Man Utd is a victory for football. No club is too big to fail. No amount of money matters without basic competence, vision, strategy and innovation.

Brighton and Brentford appoint qualified off-field specialists to improve their clubs. Man Utd's vulture capitalists appointed an investment banker solely on the basis of helping their disgraceful takeover. And 9 years later replaced him directly with his friend from Bristol Uni.

Tuchel should strongly consider a return to the hybrid 3-4-3/4-2-2-2 system that he used in the League Cup semi-final & at the Bernabéu last season. That four man box midfield naturally overloads Conte’s double pivot. RLC in the hybrid wing-back/right 10 role.James at RCB vs Son.
