For some weeks now, there’s been news trending everywhere — Canva has acquired the entire Affinity suite: Designer, Photo, and Publisher.

Now, it’s all combined into one app for everything a designer needs — and this time, not for a fee, but free forever (as they say).

I checked it out and realized that while the new Affinity is impressive, it’s still not quite on Photoshop’s level in terms of capability.

For now, since it’s free, I believe many designers will jump on it to see if it’s worth switching.
