☪⚜⚔ On this day, he was 29 years old, had three children, had graduated from the Military Academy, commanded hundreds of men, faced five enemy corps attacking him, defended his country, had his "čaršija" behind him, several bullets in his body, and his soul on its last breath.

Today, he holds the posthumous rank of brigadier general, the Golden Lily award, is one of the nine heroes of the Defense-Liberation War, commands the respect of many, and of you, who will open Google and type "Izet Nanić."

Today marks 101 years since the birth of Alija Izetbegović, the first President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Born on August 8, 1925, in Bosanski Šamac, Alija Izetbegović left a deep mark on the political and contemporary history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a man who, in the most difficult of times, spoke of peace, freedom, dignity, and the right of Bosnia and Herzegovina to exist.

His work was defined by faith, principle, and the effort to preserve the state and the people to which he belonged. To some, he was a statesman; to others, a symbol of resistance and the struggle for Bosnia -but his name remains inseparable from the most difficult years of modern Bosnian history.

Today, 101 years after his birth, we remember him with pride and respect.

اليوم يصادف مرور 101 عاماً على ميلاد عليية عزتبيغوفيتش، أول رئيس لجمهورية البوسنة والهرسك.

وُلد في 8 أغسطس 1925 في بوسانسكي شاماتس، وترك عليية عزتبيغوفيتش بصمة عميقة في التاريخ السياسي والمعاصر للبوسنة والهرسك. كان رجلاً، في أحلك الظروف، يتحدث عن السلام والحرية والكرامة وحق البوسنة والهرسك في الوجود.

تميز نشاطه بالإيمان والمبادئ والسعي للحفاظ على الدولة والشعب الذي انتمى إليه. بالنسبة للبعض كان رجل دولة، وبالنسبة للآخرين كان رمزاً للمقاومة والكفاح من أجل البوسنة، لكن اسمه يبقى مرتبطاً لا انفصام له بأصعب سنوات التاريخ البوسني الحديث.

اليوم، بعد 101 عاماً من مولده، نذكره بفخر واعتزاز.

☪ HISTORIC DAY FOR BOSNIAKS IN SERBIA: TWO ISLAMIC COMMUNITIES SIGN UNITY AGREEMENT

Representatives of the two Islamic communities operating in Serbia today signed a foundational agreement in Novi Pazar on their unification, officially launching the process of merging the two structures.
The development has already been described as historic, as it marks the beginning of the reunification of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia, which operates within the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Islamic Community of Serbia, a parallel structure established nearly two decades ago with the support of political circles in Belgrade at the time.

The Charter of Unity was signed during a ceremony accompanied by the recitation of takbirs. Among those signing the document was Sandžak Mufti Mevlud ef. Dudić.

The ceremony was also attended by a group of prominent Sandžak businessmen and public figures known as muslihun. They will serve as arbitrators and guarantors of the unity achieved through the process.
What does the Charter provide?

• One Islamic Community for all Muslims: All Muslims in Sandžak and Serbia, regardless of nationality, will be part of a single Islamic Community.

• Ties with Sarajevo: The headquarters will remain in Novi Pazar, while the Charter confirms the community's cultural and national ties with Sarajevo. The Reis-ul-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is recognized as the supreme religious authority.

• Leadership: The unified Islamic Community in Serbia will be headed by the Sandžak Mufti, who will also serve as president of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia.

• Abolition of parallel structures: Imams who have operated outside the Meshihat system, within the Belgrade-based structure, will join the unified Islamic Community. This would formally end the existence of the parallel Islamic Community of Serbia

"What you hear in this video is a death chant: literally calling for '500 Muslims in the Sana River' and another 100 in the Drina. This happened last night in the town of Bratunac, eastern Bosnia, just a few kilometers from the Srebrenica Memorial Center and roughly 500 meters from the local police station.

It comes on the heels of the Bosnian Serb police summoning 26 Bosniaks from Srebrenica, all of them employees of the Memorial Center, for questioning on completely fabricated charges."

Colonised Nationalism — How Foreigners Taught Bosnia Whom to Be Proud of and Whom Not to Mention

Sarajevo should soon be getting a monument to Ban Kulin, one of the more significant rulers of medieval Bosnia. In honour of this grand opening, I would like to point out that there are no known depictions of his physical appearance, no known portraits or sculptures, and no written records that tell us what he looked like. The same is true for most, if not all, of our important medieval figures. So it will be fictional; it will be an artist’s interpretation that gets shown to the public. But why exactly are we allowed to create sculptures of people from only a certain part of our long history? Why is it that we are allowed to be proud of monarchs who were historically the greatest obstacles (in Europe) to the emergence of the modern nation-state and nationalism, and the greatest antagonists to the idea that a collective has the right to decide things in the realm they governed?

Bosnians are allowed to celebrate everything that does not offend the feelings of the two peoples (Croats and Serbs) in the country who are openly antagonistic towards the same nation-state they live in, with a deeply criminal history, because objectively, that is the case. I also know they attack the truth regarding the Bosnian Kingdom, but that is a different topic. This is the reason why you have a sculpture of Ban Kulin and not, for example, a monument to Jakub Pasha, who destroyed a Croatian army in 1493, killed the Croatian elites, and expanded the borders of Ottoman Bosnia westward, allowing the sultanate to expand its control over most of what is now Croatia.

I know the pre-programmed, colonised response: “Well, because Bosnia wasn’t independent; it was part of the Ottomans.” I can only laugh at that, because Bosniaks were governing themselves and fighting for their own interests both before the arrival of Muslim rule and afterwards—and even more so afterwards. European nobility, which included Bosniak nobility, were all intermingling with one another, with monarchs from different lands. They were a mixed people.

The centuries of Bosniak history that we ourselves are filtering out so as not to hurt the feelings of genocidal peoples, who will be antagonistic regardless of whether you care about their feelings or not, are being left out. And this is far more important to who we are now as a people than some monarchs, most of whom were killed in Europe by Europeans because they were supposedly so wicked. Did we, as a people, exist before a Kotromanić or a Ban Kulin, or did we simply come out of their behinds?

🇧🇦 Convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić, who was the commander-in-chief of the Army of the Republika Srpska, died today at the age of 84 in the Hague prison, Belgrade media have reported.

⚡️ The Serbian government has announced that Ratko Mladić will be buried with full state honors. Mass, provocative gatherings to honor him and light candles in his memory have also taken place across towns with Serbian-majority populations

Quick comment: I don't actually mind that they are honouring Ratko Mladić. We understand that Serbs are a criminal people and that criminal nations can only celebrate petty war criminals like Mladić as their heroes, a man who has achieved nothing in his military career and has been defeated on almost every front. They do these gatherings because they expect us to get angry or outraged, so they can feel pride in their stupidity, and we are not angry, nor are we "frightened" as the media regimes want us to be. Our focus is on our civilization, our country and our youth who will one day put many Ratko Mladićes in the ground or in a jail cell.

⚜ BREZA ’94 — NANIĆ VS. MLADIĆ

In September 1994, the Army of Republika Srpska launched a major offensive in the Bužim area, aiming to break the resistance of the 505th Bužim Brigade and threaten the positions of the 5th Corps of the ARBIH.

The assault was intense, but the 505th Brigade, commanded by Izet Nanić, responded with a counteroffensive rather than retreating.

⚔️ Fighting took place across the wider areas of Baštra, Banjani, Ćorkovača, Radoč, Sip and Križ. The 505th Brigade managed to break through enemy positions and inflict a major defeat on the attacking forces.

One of the most notable events of the battle was the wounding of Ratko Mladić who fled from the battlefield. The 505th Brigade also captured significant quantities of weapons and equipment, including tanks and a command vehicle.

“Breza ’94” remains remembered as one of the greatest victories of the 505th Bužim Brigade and one of the battles that cemented its reputation as one of the most capable formations of the ARBIH.

في سبتمبر 1994، شنّ جيش جمهورية صربسكا هجومًا واسعًا في منطقة بوزيم، بهدف كسر مقاومة اللواء البوزيمي الخامس 505 وتهديد مواقع الفيلق الخامس في جيش جمهورية البوسنة والهرسك.

كان الهجوم عنيفًا، لكن اللواء 505، بقيادة عزت نانيش، ردّ بهجوم مضاد بدلًا من التراجع.

⚔️ دارت المعارك في المناطق الأوسع من باشتره، وبانياني، وتشوركوفاتشا، ورادوتش، وسيب وكريش. وتمكّن اللواء 505 من اختراق مواقع العدو وإلحاق هزيمة كبيرة بالقوات المهاجمة.

وكانت إحدى أبرز أحداث المعركة إصابة راتكو ملاديتش، الذي فرّ من ساحة المعركة. كما استولى اللواء 505 على كميات كبيرة من الأسلحة والمعدات، بما في ذلك الدبابات ومركبة قيادة.

ولا تزال «بريزا ’94» تُذكر باعتبارها واحدة من أعظم انتصارات اللواء البوزيمي الخامس 505، وإحدى المعارك التي رسّخت سمعته باعتباره واحدًا من أكثر تشكيلات جيش جمهورية البوسنة والهرسك كفاءة.
