🇧🇦 On Saturday, January 17, an incident occurred in front of the Memorial Center in Potočari when a member of the Chetnik movement from Serbia, stopped at the entrance of the Memorial Center and engaged in provocative behavior.

🇸🇾🇧🇦 Kurdish forces (SDF) have withdrawn from the Al-Hol camp in northern Syria

For years, the camp has held more than 100 citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia. Most of those detained are families—primarily women and children—of former ISIS members.

ISIS fighters were also held in nearby prisons, from which the majority have reportedly escaped.

Control of the camp is expected to be taken over by the regular Syrian Arab Army in the near future.

"There are people who walk through life with their hearts. Often, this comes at a great personal cost. Midhat Hadžija Purić from the Biljanska Valley is one of those big-hearted individuals. He lived in Switzerland, had a wife and children, yet left everything behind and headed toward Bosnia as early as 1991. He first fought in Croatia against the JNA, and later refugees from eastern Bosnia began arriving at a mosque in Zagreb. An encounter with them—especially with a boy whose tongue had been cut out—was the decisive moment that led him to go to Bosnia.

He purchased weapons and, thanks to his service in the Croatian Army (HV), managed to transport a significant amount of arms to Travnik. He joined the Patriotic League, later the Army, and fought in Travnik and on Mount Vlašić, where his brother was killed as a member of his unit. He ended the war on the Krajina front with the rank of colonel."

✝🇧🇦 One notorious myth propagated by Catholics in Bosnia is the tradition of bocanje/sicanje. Allegedly, Catholics would tattoo their women and children to prevent Muslims from “taking them away,” or to make their women unattractive so that Turks would not sleep with them. However, these tattoos have nothing to do with Christianity or Catholicism; they are a continuation of Illyrian pagan practices that predate both Catholicism and the Ottomans. These tattoos confirm the persistence of paganism among those people, which is often justified through such stories directed against Muslims.

✝🇧🇦 إحدى الأساطير سيئة الصيت التي يروّج لها الكاثوليك في البوسنة هي تقليد البوكانيه/السيكانيه. ويُزعم أن الكاثوليك كانوا يوشمون نساءهم وأطفالهم لمنع المسلمين من «أخذهم بعيدًا»، أو لجعل نسائهم غير جذّابات حتى لا يضاجعهن الأتراك. غير أن هذه الأوشام لا علاقة لها بالمسيحية أو بالكاثوليكية؛ بل هي امتداد لممارسات وثنية إليرية سبقت كلًا من الكاثوليكية والعثمانيين. وتؤكد هذه الأوشام استمرار النزعة الوثنية لدى هؤلاء الناس، وهو ما يُبرَّر غالبًا بمثل هذه الروايات الموجّهة ضد المسلمين.

The second meeting of the Balkan Peace Platform was held today in Istanbul, bringing together representatives and foreign ministers from Türkiye, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The platform was reaffirmed as a key framework for strengthening regional ownership, deepening dialogue, and advancing concrete cooperation in the Balkans.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the participants, discussions focused on bilateral relations with Türkiye and regional issues. President Erdoğan welcomed the successful conclusion of the meeting and thanked all representatives for their contributions, reaffirming Türkiye’s unifying, inclusive, and results-oriented role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Balkans.

🇧🇦🇽🇰 Apparently, some large Western left-wing, anti-imperialist figure passed away, whose name is not worth mentioning, who denied the crimes against Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo during the wars in Yugoslavia.

A quick comment on the anti/pro, left-right, whatever people coming from the West regarding my country: all sides and positions that emerge from that realm serve to limit the options, opinions, and positions of honest, well-meaning people. They should be ignored; there is no need for their support or their antagonism.

If you want to know about a country or about crimes committed there, ask the people who live there, not a man or woman living across the Atlantic whose main concern is making money.

🇧🇦🇽🇰 يبدو أنّ إحدى الشخصيات الغربية البارزة المنتمية إلى اليسار والمعروفة بخطابها «المعادي للإمبريالية» قد توفّت، وهي شخصية لا يستحق اسمها الذكر، وكانت قد أنكرت الجرائم المرتكبة بحق المسلمين في البوسنة وكوسوفو خلال حروب يوغوسلافيا.

⚔⚜ Kurtović Razim. A ghazi who knew no fear! As his comrades recount, Razim was one of the bravest fighters of the 5th Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a member of the 503rd Mountain Brigade, and later the 510th Brigade. He was wounded several times, and was seriously wounded on February 9, 1994, on Hasin Vrh, in the neck. When the Serbs launched an assault on Vršak to capture it, and in doing so came very close to our trenches, Razim, standing upright with his machine gun, mowed down the enemy soldiers and, together with his comrades, stopped the Serb breakthrough. May Allah grant him Jannah.
